We Have Nothing to Give

We live in a world where our worth is measured by what we have to offer...by our achievements. The highest position, social standing, wealth and fame are all admired and sought after. So what does this mean for disciples who find themselves with nothing?

In Matthew 14:13-21, Jesus is asking the disciples to feed over 5,000 people. A crazy request. Of course, the disciples, figuratively turning their pockets inside-out say, "We have nothing." "Well...except, 5 loaves and 2 fish." With the size of the task the little they had might as well have been nothing.

Is there a place in the Kingdom of God to say...Lord, we have nothing?
